Detox

How many of you have thought about detoxing? I know I have which is why next week I'm going to. Detoxing can be good for your body it will help get all the toxins out of your body. So I am going on a 7 day detox and I will let you know after it how it went. This is going to be a great kick start to spring weight loss.

Now that spring time is here you can go outside. No more being stuck in the house. Just be sure to keep a eye on how much you eat. Overeating is never good so be sure not to skip any meals because this leads to over eating.  Lot of people love to have barbeques so watch out :).

Happy Detoxing everyone!

Motivation and Journey

I have had a lot of trouble motivating myself to lose weight watching what I eat working out. 2 months ago when you would  say time to workout I would give you a death glare. I hated working out so much. I found a wonderful site. www.dailyburn.com that contained fun workouts that I enjoy. But still it was hard to motivate myself to workout. Now I have discovered hoop dance and love it but still have motivation issues, You know what really motivated me? Two people the girl I meet who taught me about hoop dancing and a girl I found on youtube which I will leave the link below at the end of this. If they can lose that much weight i thought I can. I learned to stop looking at a workout as a punishment and am not enjoying it to the fullest. When I go to workout I think man I'm going to shed those pounds and come out looking sexy. That's all it takes and I'm off to my bedroom selecting a workout on dailyburn or grabbing my hoop and dancing. To lose weight you have to learn not to hate working out. If you hate it you won't do it or you won't work your hardest to work off all those calories. Along my Journey I have also learned not to consider what I am doing as a diet it is a life style change. I want a healthier life I am cutting out certain foods yes but most foods and be substituted. That is what I have started doing substituting foods for healthier choices. I still get to have dessert and eat everything I love I just substitute some of it or cut back how much of it I am eating.I hope that the information I have provided you with so far is helpful to your journey for a healthier you. Please message me or leave a comment! Let me know you are reading this if I a helping you. What I can talk about or do to improve this blog to help more people get to their target weight.

A new kind of workout

Once again guys i'm sorry it has taken me awhile to post. I have been very busy. My day in a pinch I go to work I come home I workout I eat and then play WoW for a hour then bedtime. Anyways so I found a new and great way to work off  those extra pounds. Do you remember when you were a kid? We had hula hoops. Now a a grown up we don't use the really anymore. Well turns out they are a great way of exercise and toning. They have weighted hula hoops for adults. So don't run to walmart a pick up a kids one go to your local sports store or even online and get a 2Ib 3Ib hula hoop and get hooping. It is so much fun you can dance or just hoop . I learned about this at a show I went to locally where their was a girl doing all these cool tricks with a hula hoop and I though wow that looks like so much fun. Not only is fun but she told me about all the weight she lost and muscle she gained doing this.I was amazed she used to weigh 252Ib and now she was only 110. She lost all this by watching what she ate and working out 3 to 4 times a week. Hooping was one of her main workouts she would do. The fact that she had lost 142Ib really got me motivated.

New Year!

Happy New Year everyone and Merry Christmas. I hope everything is going well for all of you wonderful readers. Sorry I haven't posted in awhile been very very busy. So this New Years just like all the other my resolutions on New Years was once again to lose weight. But it was a little different this time. I told myself and even wrote it down. Last year you lost 20 Ib and gained back most of that tell the end where you were working it off. This year I want to lose a minimum of 40 Ib. Double what I did last year and this year their is no gaining it back!
Have any of you heard of the Virgin diet the whole thing of lose 7 pounds in  7 days? Well you won't quite lose that much but it does work. I have been doing a bit of research because it caught my eye in walmart the other night when I was shopping. I thought it was just another weight lose diet book that tells you to do something and It won't work. But turns out that this author my really know what she is talking about. So stay tuned and I will write a post about her book next.

How many pounds is enough? Will I be able to keep this off?

So some of you maybe wondering how many pounds should I lose. It's hard to say a exact number considering all of are bodies are different. The way to know if you are a good weight is just to take a look at yourself in the mirror.  Ask yourself am I skinny enough do I look healthy and not like I need to eat. If you look online you can also ind sites that will tell what is considered a healthy weight for your body. Another question that tends to go through peoples head when you lose weight will I be able to keep this off? That is a good question. It can be very hard to keep from gaining back all the weight you lost. If you lose weight to fast it can be really bad because you gain it all back due to your bad eating habits. Losing weight isn't about temporally changing your diet so you lose pounds/ It is a life style change. To sustain a good weight after losing some pounds you will need to continue to watch what you eat and exercise to keep for gaining it all back. It is a long process being able to work into you everyday life and keep up with it but it is possible. Currently I work at three to four times a week and plan on upping that to maximize my weight loss. Now I work a full time job from 4:30pm to 1:30am mon - fri and spend up until I go to work asleep since I decide to stay up all night after work so I have worked in between 3am and 5am to workout. I do this Saturday, Sunday , Monday and Tuesday. Then I rest for a few days due to my abs hurting. I try to tone my stomach along with work up a sweat when I workout. I have worked it in to my schedule this way so I can make it a habit even after I am finished losing weight I will keep doing this. As time goes on it gets easier. But I am very upset with myself if I don't stick to this. Especially when I make up silly excuses like oh well I don't have time I have to get up early. Or well I walked around all day I don't need more exercise.

If you haven't checked out my other postings I suggest you do they all carry good advice on weight loss.
